Flower Power
It's pouring rain here today, so I'm not going to strike out for the Flatiron/Ladies' Mile area as planned. Well, at least not till later. I'm meeting fellow Southern-girl-living-in-NYC and blog bud stitches212 later this afternoon at Blue Smoke for some barbeque and collards. If the rains continue, I plan to wear my new swimsuit, mask and fins.

You make your maternal grandmother so happy in that you have such an appreciation for gardens and flowers. Mama loved beautiful flowers but thought their only purpose was to be cut and placed in the house. I too believe in having a cutting garden. Do they let you pick the flowers in NYC??? or do they get pissed????

Bro - no flower-picking allowed, I'm afraid. I have to stop by the street stands to get the flower for the apartment (but there are lots of reasonable places to buy them).
