The latest on Tom Fox

It's been well over a month since there was any firm news on Tom Fox and the other three men from Christian Peacemakers being held in Iraq. Video dated January 21 was aired on Al Jazeera showing the four still alive, but the group holding them have made a renewed threat to kill them (though a date wasn't specified).

Read the latest from CNN, New York Times, and The Guardian.

Give them a thought every now and then.

Over here in England Norman Kember gets more attention but that's only natural I suppose.

They look haunted don't they - talk about man's inhumanity to man. I am left speechless.

I am not a religious person. When you see what one religion does to another I wonder how some of these people sleep at night, I really do.

It is absolutely disgusting.

Make no mistake, Charlie, this is the first the American press has said about the four hostages in weeks. I get most of my news about what's going on with them from the British, Canadian, or New Zealand press. Why they've been so ignored in the US is beyond me.

I am not a religious person, but I am a person of faith. It's heartbreaking and anger-making what people do in the name of religion, while people of faith struggle to clean up the messes. Ah, me.

Well, off to church. ;-) (No, really. I'm off to church.)

Amen to that Maryb. Religion does cause problems but God doesn't. Here's to non-religious peole of faith.
