Yes, yes - it's Friday, and we're all getting ants in our pants to shuffle outta the building and into the weekend. And that, truly, is worth raising a big ol' glass to (excuse the sentence-ending preposition).
But - wait!- there's more! (Here it comes. . . )
Up-close-and-personal job interview. February 28. New York City. Got the call this afternoon. Not out of the woods yet, however, since I have no idea who/how many I'm competing against. I was told I'd be meeting with 5 people and the interview should last for about an hour-and-a-half. (Just think of the number of people I can offend and the mistakes I can make in that amount of time! The mind boggles!) Still - great news for a Friday afternoon, eh?
So, off we go, friends. For those of you facing a three-day-weekend, the rest of us are green with envy. Now, using your silliest walk - go have some fun!

Wow cool, a comment from one of those random types. I love the willingness, "lets see what is next!".
Oh Maryb, just reading about that interview gives me the butterflies (breath deep, 1-2, 1-2). Go kill 'em!
Have a good week-end anyway.
Now, walk this way......
Yeah, good luck Mary ....
You go girl! Just answer their questions truthfully. Then maybe they'll hire you anyway...
Confusion on date... 28th is 10 days out, but you're going this weekend?
As to the sentence-ending preposition, that is something up with which I will not put...
Thanks for the support, friends.
Winston, sorry if my enthusiastic post was confusing. I got the call about the scheduled interview yesterday. Not going to NYC until Monday the 27th. I have a couple of current clients I need to see (been postponing them just in case I got the call) so I'm going up a day early.
Actually, between now and then I have a 3-day trip to San Francisco (Wed-Fri of next week). Mo' about that later.
Again, thanks for all the good wishes!
Just want to add my good wishes, Mary. I hope everyting works out the way you want.
nice one and good luck to you!! do remember be yourself its no use pretending it'll just make you more nervous. Just dont get interview tourettes where your inner demon wants to shout out obsenities to break the pressure. Many I time i've been in an interview and a manager is giving me 'the speel' and all I want to say is BOLLO**S!! am i the only one maybe who has this problem?? hmm.....oh well hope it goes well. :-)
Chuckie
hey enjoy the bay area - is it social or work?? I have to admit it was one of my favourite places in southern california, very cosmopolitan and all that.
btw. no spending in Nordstroms!! its an evil place. I was convinced I had been pick pocketed but the locals convinced me it was a normal side effect of 'shopping' - hey i'm a bloke we're not use to this stuff :-)
