Perfect saturday afternoon fodder, to enrich your mind with literary pleasure..hmmm. You must check out the coffee and let me know if its good enough.

Jo and Chris mentioned a bookstore and coffee shop that arrived in my old haunt of Chertsey a while back. I've just heard that credit crunching has led to it closing down. I'm gutted, I never had a chance to taste the books and the coffee there yet.chuxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13244284869780373051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15254331.post-73484474266134920882009-04-06T03:21:00.000-04:002009-04-06T03:21:00.000-04:00Now I want to go to Hay again! But I do get lots of my books in charity shops these days, and Oxfam has stores dedicated to used books all over the country - but not in Swansea sadly.Liz Hindshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04646532093872561703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15254331.post-81816325347203443942009-04-05T10:05:00.000-04:002009-04-05T10:05:00.000-04:00I LOVE BOOK SHOPS! And what a great thing to have a welcoming place that people want to visit as a charity bookshop.

The only not-for-profit used bookshop that I know is sterile and un-fun. (Not that I've looked very far, but such places are thin on the ground in my neck of the woods...)

Book shops are such big business these days, I don't know where all the second-hand books of Surrey go...jomoorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03739551320410022688noreply@blogger.com
